Project Overview

Start: 2025 | Completion: Fall 2026

Phase 5 of the Rochester International Airport expansion involves the extension and reconstruction of Runway 3/21 and Taxiway B. The work, funded under the FAA Airport Improvement Program, is scheduled to begin in fall 2025 and finish by fall 2026. Key elements include asphalt and concrete paving, grading, storm sewer and drain tile installation, stormwater treatment, lighting and navigational aid installation, access road construction, and perimeter fence relocation. This phase builds upon previously completed Phases 1–4 and includes detailed safety and phasing provisions to ensure secure operations near the Air Operations Area throughout construction.
